Travis is our first APHA horse. We fell in love with his stocky build and his gentle nature. He’s backed everyone from beginners (for a little lead around) to advanced and everyone in between. He is the ultimate stallion for someone learning to handle studs.
Travis is sired by Jacks Back. Who, although unshown, was sired by Jackets Scat, who was a APHA Champion, and is out of Rosie Pocoweed an AQHA mare who was a grand daughter of Nunes Pocoweed (6 Grand Championships, 6 Reserve, 9 Jr., 32 points as a 2yr old).
Travis was unshown when we purchased him, but entered the show ring in the summer of 2007. His first Halter class won him a Second Place Ribbon. Not bad for an aged stallion! Overall that year he won a First, Second and a Third, then went on to win the year end Award. I couldn’t be more proud of this boy if I tried!
He has sired foals in Canada and the USA. Most are Pinto registered, but he has one outstanding APHA son named Jacksonville who has excelled in Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Sadle, Halter, and Showmanship. He also has Offspring in Florida that have successfully competed on the Hunter/Jumper circut.
